Don't Starve Together is a multiplayer expansion of the well-known survival game. But sometimes, the server does not appear, limiting your gameplay and not allowing you to play with your friends. In this article, you will learn how to solve this issue.
Try restarting the app or device
Most technical issues can be solved by simply restarting the device or application. If you are hosting your server on a PC, make sure to restart the game and then your computer. Save any work in progress, close all programs, turn off and then turn on your computer. Make sure your computer is completely turned off before turning it back on. This ensures that all temporary files are deleted, making room for new ones.
Rebooting your device will also free up more CPU space to handle game and server requests. The game requires a processor with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz or higher. If your processor barely meets this requirement, you may experience problems with the game or the server.
Check your internet connection
A stable internet connection is an integral part of your gameplay experience. Check your internet connection on your device and fix it if necessary.
How do I join a server using Steam?
1) Find your friend's account in your Steam friends list.
2) Right-click and try "Join Game".
This may not work if the server is running in local mode
3) Find the IP address of the host and open the console while in the game. Press the ` or ~ key.
4) In the console, enter the c_connect command and the address of your friend (server host) and press Enter.
If the server has a password, you will need to use the full command: c_connect IP address port password. For example: c_connect "184.108.40.206", 10999, "password"
