How to Install DarkRP Mode on a Garry’s Mod Server

This is a game mode that simulates real-life scenarios within the game Garry's Mod. To support the aspect of "real life" on servers with this mode, the developer has created a list of clear and strict rules. Violation of these rules may result in players being sent to in-game prison or banned, much like in real life where every state has its laws. Only through adherence to these rules and the management by the in-game police and server administration is it possible to maintain the simulation of life.

How to install the mode onto your server?

1) Download the mode files from the official GitHub link. Below is a screenshot showing how to do this.

2) Shut down your server to upload the files.

3) Navigate to your server files and locate the folder garrysmod/gamemodes. Extract the files into this folder.

4) Open the in-game console of your Gmod server and go to the Startup Settings section. Enter "darkrp" in the line next to +gamemode, replacing "sandbox".
