Locations to Find Crude Oil

Crude oil can only be obtained from the island of Sakurajima, located northwest of the main archipelago. On the island map, black spots indicate areas rich in oil, with northern, eastern, and central regions being particularly abundant. There is ample space around each oil field for constructing a compact base and setting up the necessary extraction equipment.

Methods for Extracting Crude Oil

To efficiently extract crude oil, you need to place an oil extractor directly on an oil field. Once installed, it will begin to slowly extract oil automatically, provided there is an energy source nearby. Additionally, a large generator is required, which must be connected to two electric Pals with an electricity rating of at least three. You can also obtain crude oil by defeating Kikits and Sootseer creatures on the island of Sakurajima, though each enemy drops only one or two oil samples.

IMPORTANT

You can further acquire crude oil using the oil tower on the southeast of the island, which is currently the most challenging outpost in the game.

Unlocking the Oil Extractor

To activate the oil extractor in Palworld, you need to reach level 50 and spend two technical points. To craft the extractor, you will need:

• 250 Pal Metal Ingots
• 50 Printed Circuits

This is high-cost equipment for resource gathering in the later stages of the game.

Using the Oil Extractor

After activating the extractor, you must select it from the construction menu under the "Production" tab and place it on an oil-rich location.
