What is SFTP?

SSH File Transfer Protocol is one of the most popular methods of securely transferring files to remote modded Minecraft servers.

IMPORTANT

We recommend you zip the files you want to upload to your server, uploading individual files through SFTP can take a long time. Once you have uploaded the .zip file to your server, you can go to the file manager in our Godlike Panel, click on the button Unarchive of the .zip.

How to connect and use SFTP

Step 1: Install an SFTP client to connect to the server and transfer files securely using the SFTP protocol.
Popular options include WinSCP, MobaXTerm, and FileZilla. We recommend using WinSCP, as it’s lightweight, reliable, and easy to set up.

Step 2: Go to the Files section in your server panel and click “Open SFTP”.
With our panel, the connection will be established automatically, and you will be able to upload, download, and manage your files right away.

These two simple steps are all it takes.

NOTE

“SFTP Connect” button: If you prefer to connect manually using an external client such as FileZilla or WinSCP, click SFTP Connect. This will show your Host, Port, Username, and Password - use these credentials in your SFTP client to connect to the server.

Using WinSCP

We recommend using WinSCP for SFTP connections. It is lightweight, reliable, and easy to use.
In our panel, open the Files section and click Open SFTP under Settings.
The connection will be established automatically with all required credentials filled in for you.

Your local files are displayed on the left, and the server files on the right. You can simply drag and drop to upload or download.

With our new panel, managing files is fast, secure, and effortless.

Using FileZilla

To connect using FileZilla, download and install the application on your computer.

Open it and enter your Host, Port, and SFTP Username. You can find these details in our panel under SFTP Connect.

After that, click OK to connect. You'll be asked for your panel password. By default, this password will be stored.

On the left side of the screen (brown area), you will see your local files. On the right side (green area), you will see the files on the server.
You can easily drag and drop files between the two panels, as well as rename or delete them when needed.

With our improved panel, connecting through FileZilla is simple and seamless.
