Stardew Valley Trinkets Guide
Stardew Valley items
Update 1.6 introduced a new type of equipment in Stardew Valley—Trinkets, which grant unique abilities to their wearers. These effects remain active as long as the Trinket is equipped. Let’s dive into what these items are and how to obtain them.
TIP
How to Obtain All Trinkets in Stardew Valley
Currently, there are eight types of Trinkets available in Stardew Valley. Most of them can be obtained by defeating monsters or opening containers in specific areas. However, the Magic Hair Gel Trinket is an exception—it cannot be found in chests or dropped by enemies. Instead, it is purchased from Alex’s shop during the Desert Festival for 100 Calico Eggs.
The other seven Trinkets have a small chance to drop from any monster in the game. Additionally, they can appear when breaking barrels or crates in various locations, although the drop rate remains low.
Another way to acquire Trinkets is by opening treasure chests in the Treasure Rooms within Skull Cavern. The deeper you descend in the cavern, the higher the chance of finding an Trinket in these rooms.
Several factors can increase your chances of obtaining these rare items, including Lucky Days, the type of enemies you encounter, and the location.
Here is the full list of available Trinkets in Stardew Valley and their effects:
- Basilisk Paw: Grants immunity to debuffs.
- Fairy Box: Summons a fairy companion that periodically heals the player.
- Frog Egg: Summons a frog companion that can attack or absorb nearby enemies.
- Gold Spur: Temporarily increases movement speed after landing a critical hit.
- Ice Rod: Periodically fires an ice orb that immobilizes enemies.
- Magic Hair Gel: Gives the player’s hair a shimmering effect with all the colors of the Prismatic Shard.
- Magic Quiver: Automatically fires magical arrows at nearby enemies.
- Parrot Egg: Summons a parrot companion that collects gold when defeating monsters.
NOTE
The stats for all Trinkets, except Magic Hair Gel and Basilisk Paw, can be rerolled at the anvil using 3 Iridium Bars.
TIP
How to Equip Trinkets in Stardew Valley
To equip Trinkets, you must first unlock Combat Mastery in the Mastery Cave. This requires reaching Level 10 in all five core skills. Once you’ve accumulated enough Mastery Points, unlock Combat Mastery in the cave. Doing so will enable an additional slot in your inventory for equipping Trinkets.
