Every Rust servers owner needs a proper system to manage their server, especially if it's a large gaming project: timely banning cheaters, restarting the server, or adding updates. In this article, we will tell you how to grant yourself or another player admin rights to manage the server.

How to add an administrator/moderator?

1) Go to the game panel and make sure the server is active.

2) Go to the game console and enter the command "moderatorid <Player's SteamID> <any text>" to add a moderator. If you want to grant owner rights, type "ownerid <Player's SteamID> <any text>" and press Enter.

To find out a player's ID, copy the link to their profile on Steam and enter it on this website

3) Then type the command writecfg and press Enter.
