Game token

For most games like Minecraft, you need to add a token to your modded Minecraft server hosting to make your server public.

For Steam games, you can create a token at Steam

IMPORTANT

Please note that in order to create a Steam token you need to have an unlimited account and meet other requirements. You can read more about these requirements in next link

Creating a game token

Let's consider the creation of a game token using the example of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

First, go to this link

Next, fill in the ID and Name and click Create

NOTE

The ID depends on the game you are creating the token for. You can view a complete list of all IDs for Steam games here

We have created a Steam token, how to use it, and which server files to add it to, we will tell you later

Adding a game token to the server

After you have created a token, you need to add it to the server.

Let's continue with our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive example.

Go to the panel, and choose a server. Next, click on settings and insert the token into the Steam token parameter.

NOTE

The name of this parameter may be different for other games, one of the most common names is GSLT

If it is not there, you can add the token to the game configuration files.

These are different files for different games, in our case, you need to add the parameter sv_setsteamaccount "YOUR_STEAM_TOKEN" to server.cfg in file manager

That's all, we have made a token and used it for the server!
