Hades 2 Early Access
Supergiant Games, renowned for their game development, recently launched Hades II in early access, which will continue until the end of this year. The game is now available for download through the Epic Games Store and Steam. On the game's Steam page, Supergiant Games announced that players can expect significant regular updates over the coming months:
"At this stage of early access, Hades II boasts a greater variety of locations, enemies, and voiced characters compared to the original Hades. However, the game is not yet complete: many significant zones, characters, enemies, storylines, and gameplay elements are still in development."
The final date for early access has not been set, and the developers cannot yet specify when Hades II will reach its version 1.0. However, Supergiant promises that the final product will include an expanded and more polished set of features and content, including Steam achievements and the completion of the storyline.

After a brief technical test, Supergiant Games surprised the industry by launching Hades II in early access this week. The demand for the sequel to the popular 2020 game exceeded expectations, and the number of concurrent players quickly surged.
In the first nine hours after the early access launch, Hades II attracted nearly 80,000 concurrent players, more than double the peak of the original Hades, which reached 37,749 players according to SteamDB in September 2020. The new record was set in just a few hours, and since VGC first reported the high player count, this number has continued to grow. At the time of writing, the peak concurrent players for Hades II reached 86,331.
In September 2023, Supergiant announced that early access for the game would begin in the second quarter of 2024, but this May, the California-based company unexpectedly released Hades II for general access, allowing PC players to dive into the game immediately. Console users will have to wait a bit longer for access.
Although only a few days have passed since the launch, it is already clear why the game is so successful. The technical test showed that the beloved aspects of the original game were preserved in the sequel, with new elements added. The new protagonist, Melinoë, brings freshness to the game, and the new mechanics allow players to immerse themselves in the underworld with new depth. The appearance of new gods in the game only adds to the gameplay's interest.
