Nope. 1.4 Journey’s End: It was literally titled Journey’s End. The credits rolled. It was over. 1.4.4 Labor of Love: Okay, now it’s over. So, enjoy the "Final" update when it launches. But don't say your goodbyes just yet. We’ll probably be back here next year discussing the next final update.

• Is Terraria Crossplay finally here?

  Re-Logic has stated that 1.4.5 is the "Parity Update" - meaning they are ensuring every platform (PC, Console, Mobile) runs the exact same version simultaneously. Once the bugs are squashed from this launch, Crossplay is the very next item on the agenda, likely coming in a "1.4.5.1" or similar post-launch patch.

• Wait, I thought the Palworld Terraria update was a separate thing?

  It’s all rolled into one. While the community colloquially called the mid-development period the "Palworld Terraria Update" due to the announcements, the actual content (Pal Metal Armor, the Digtoise summon, Foxparks sentry, etc.) is included directly inside update 1.4.5. You get your Dead Cells content and your Palworld pals in the same download.

• Do I need to start a new world?

  To see the new world generation features (like the new seed combinations or specific biome tweaks), yes. However, your old characters can visit these new worlds, and most of the new items (whips, crossover gear) can be obtained in existing worlds.

• What are the biggest changes in this update?

  New Whips: Summoners are finally getting a more fleshed-out progression. The Shimmer Water Gun: You can now Shimmer NPCs and items without dragging them to the Aether biome.
