How to transfer your world (map) to another server
The Minecraft server hosting and its world (map) have their own files, which contain the data of your game: the number of players registered on the server, settings, changes made to the map (buildings, farms and everything else that players can create in the game world). In this article, we will tell you how to avoid losing your game world files and how to conveniently and safely transfer them to a new server (hosting) and start playing.
Step 3: Using SFTP, you need to delete the old world folder. Step 4: After that, upload your existing world. Step 5: Once everything is uploaded, start your server.
IMPORTANT
By default, a Minecraft server creates a world named world. If you want to use your own world and it has a different name, upload your world folder to the server directory, open the server.properties file, change the line level-name=world to the exact name of your folder, save the file, and restart the server.
Step 6: All done, now you can start the server and check out your world!
