However, to fully dismantle cars, you need to use a Wrench. This indispensable tool becomes available after reaching level 1 in the Salvage Tools section of your Crafting Skills menu, which is unlocked by reading the "Scrapping 4 Fun" magazine. Once unlocked, crafting the Wrench requires 12 Forged Iron, four Mechanical Parts, and two Duct Tapes — materials that can be found throughout the game world.
With the Wrench in hand, approach the car and then hold or press the left mouse button to begin dismantling.
The process consumes Stamina, so it's important to monitor the Stamina bar located in the lower left corner of the screen. Using the right mouse button speeds up dismantling but increases Stamina consumption. Mods like the Ergonomic Grip Mod can reduce this consumption.
