Methods of Gaining Experience in Enshrouded

Currently, there are three main methods for gaining experience in Enshrouded that aid in your progression: combat, exploration, and mining.

Accumulating Experience through Combat

Engaging in battles will earn you experience for each defeated enemy. Larger enemies yield more experience, making boss encounters especially rewarding for quickly gaining large amounts of experience. If you're having trouble with a certain level or boss, try teaming up with friends for joint battles to help you succeed faster.

Exploration and Discovering New Places

Each new landmark on the map grants you experience. Therefore, actively explore all found settlements and buildings, gather information from available history pages. This can start new side quests and add important locations to your map.

Continue applying this method as you explore Embervale. Keep an eye out for new landmarks or quests, explore them, and see where they lead you. You may also come across interesting finds like weapons and armor.

Mining Resources

The last and most effective method for quickly earning experience in Enshrouded is mining minerals. Look for valuable ores at the edges of cliffs and underground. You will also find specialized mining sites where you can use your pickaxe until it breaks, gaining significant experience. You can gather necessary resources from these mines, such as salt, flint, or copper.

Root Cover Extraction for Development Points

As you level up, you will quickly earn points that can be used to unlock new abilities or enhance core attributes through the Skill Tree. To earn even more points, destroy all Root Covers in each zone. They are marked on the map similarly to Elixir Wells, but additional locations can be found by unlocking Ancient Towers. Use an axe for quick Root destruction, but be cautious, as they are often guarded by mini-bosses.
