How to Import Your Server to Godlike

Migrating your game server from another hosting provider is completely hassle-free. The Godlike Panel features an automated Server Importer tool, allowing you to transfer your files directly from your old host to our infrastructure. Alternatively, you can easily do it manually in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Gather Remote S/FTP Credentials (For Auto-Importer)

To pull files automatically from your old provider, you need their remote connection details. Log into your previous host's panel, navigate to their FTP/SFTP settings, and note down:

  • Server Type / Protocol: FTP, FTPS, or SFTP.

  • Host & Port: The remote server address and port.

  • Username & Password: Your old panel's transfer credentials.

TIP

We highly recommend compressing all your server files into a single archive (.zip or .tar.gz) on your old host before starting. Transferring one compressed archive is significantly faster than moving thousands of individual small files.

Step 2: Launch the Automated Importer

  1. Open your Godlike Panel and select your server.

  2. Go to Edit Server on the left menu, then select Server Importer.

  3. Fill out the form with your old host’s S/FTP credentials.

  4. Base Directory: Leave this as / to import everything. If you compressed your files into an archive, you can specify the exact path to that file.

  5. Click Start Import. You can watch the transfer progress in real-time on the Console page.

The Simplest Manual Method (Upload & Unzip)

If you already have your server files packed into a .zip or .tar.gz archive on your computer, you don't even need the importer tool:

  1. Go to the File Manager on Godlike.

  2. Connect via SFTP and drag the archive into the main directory (recommended for large files).

  3. Once the upload finishes, select the archive checkbox in the File Manager.

  4. Click the Unzip button on the bottom action bar. Your server is ready!
