Managing User Roles and Access Permissions

When running a busy game server, you might want to share access with friends, developers, or moderators. Our Roles and Permissions system allows you to securely delegate responsibilities, granting team members exactly the right level of control while protecting critical server configurations.

    How Roles Work

A role is simply a pre-defined set of permissions. By assigning roles to your added users, you control what they can see and modify on the panel.

The platform features four Default Roles out of the box:

    • Owner — Unrestricted, full root access to everything.

    • Co-owner — Administrative access (almost full management rights).

    • Moderator — Limited management (handling basic daily server operations).

    • Member — Read-only or basic interaction access.

    NOTE

Default roles are fixed and cannot be edited. However, you can easily create custom ones tailored to your specific needs.

Step 1: Create a Custom Role

If the standard roles don't fit your management structure, build your own:

    1. Click the Edit Server button on your main overview page, then navigate to the Sharing tab.

    2. In the Roles section, click Create Role.

    3. Type in a unique name for your role (e.g., Assistant, Developer, Staff).

    4. Click Confirm. Your new role will instantly appear in the management list.

    Step 2: Configure Permissions

Fine-tune exactly what features this new role can interact with:

    1. Click on your newly created custom role from the list.

    2. On the right side of the screen, open the Permissions panel.

    3. Toggle the switches next to individual permissions to customize access.

Step 3: Assign and Manage Users

Inside the Users menu within the server configuration panel, you have total control over your current team layout:

    • Search: Quickly find specific users by their username or email.

    • Change Roles: Swap a user's access instantly by choosing a different role from the dropdown menu.

    • Remove Users: Kick a user off your management team immediately by clicking the trash bin icon.
